This Discipleship Course will be a three-fold movement—namely, Welcome, Shape and Send—that helps us orient ourselves into the life of God and His Kingdom. God Welcomes us into His life, Shapes us with His presence, and Sends us with His power. In this three-part course, we'll explore discipleship together by cooperating with God's Welcome, Shape, and Send. Central to the identity and purpose of Saint David’s is a three-fold movement for what it means to be a Christian. Life with the Triune God is a spiritual journey that one travels through in stages, similar to how one moves from childhood into adolescence and later into adulthood. We are first welcomed into the family of God through Baptism; here we are anointed by the Holy Spirit. We are then shaped and formed into the image of His Son, Jesus Christ, by God’s Holy Word and the Holy Eucharist. Finally, we are sent into the world as agents of God’s service, mercy, and love through the rite of Confirmation. The first movement is the Welcome Class. Here we learn what it means for God to “welcome” us into His life. Please join us as we embark on this journey of what it means to a Christian. We want to thank Fr.
