On Maundy Thursday we commemorate the night when Jesus shared with His disciples a Last Supper on earth before being handed over to His Passion, Crucifixion, and Death. Join us as we worship together with our brothers and sisters from the Burbank Seventh-day Adventist Church through music, scripture, a foot-washing ceremony, Communion, and finally the stripping of the altar in anticipation of Jesus' ultimate sacrifice for our sins through His death on the cross. "Maundy" come from the Old English, where we get the words "mandate" or "command." This is the evening on which Jesus commanded His disciples to celebrate "as often as they got together" a supper in remembrance of that night so that they would never forget His words and what He intended to do.
