    When Pilar and her daughter Samantha (Samy) moved to Southern California they soon found a home at St. David's Anglican Church. They help take care of the little ones at the Nursery enabling parents to participate in the worship services. Pilar began leading this ministry since 2012 and her daughter joined her in 2014. Pilar enjoys cooking for her family and loves to take long walks. She is a full-time student and is studying to become a chef. Samy graduated from High School in 2017 and will be attending college in the Fall of 2017, majoring in sociology. 


  • jaclyn ganjeh & otmara martinez

    Children's ministry coordinators

    Jaclyn Ganjeh and Otmara Martinez have been members of St. David's Church for over 25 years. They have spent the majority of that time working with the children of St. David's. Otmara Martinez was the former Nursery Director for over 10 years and Jaclyn Ganjeh served as her assistant. Otmara and Jaclyn both have their B.S. in Psychology and Masters in Social Work and work for L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services in the Adoption and Permanency Department. Otmara and her husband, Evelio Martinez, have been married since 2003 and have 3 daughters, Samantha, Sophia and Naomi. Jaclyn has been married to her husband Sarguis Ganjeh since 2012 and they have a son, Jackson.

    Fr. Jose was born in Cuba. He earned his M.T. from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA, and has been a priest since 1983 and the Senior Pastor of St. David's since 1991.  He and his wife Maly have been married since 1976, and they have two daughters and four grandchildren.  Fr. Jose enjoys sports, movies, and reading.

    Spencer and Luisa Johnson lead the Seniors'(SAGES) ministries. Spencer is President and Co-Chair of the Diocese of Western Anglicans. Besides serving God, he enjoys studying Scripture and Anglicanism, science fiction and politics, and visiting family. 


    Luisa is a Spiritual Director. Having graduated from Fuller Graduate School of Psychology, she is now retired from being a psychologist. She enjoys photography, sculpting in clay, and her grandchildren.

    Laurie and Tom have been a part of the St. Davids family for over 15 years. Laurie works for Health Net as a Curriculum Designer. Tom is a Director in Payment Operations at Union Bank. They both enjoy serving people, traveling, hanging out with friends and enjoying family time with their 4 children and 6 grandchildren.

    Alex was born in Miami, FL. After serving in the U.S. Army in Germany, Alex moved to California to pursue a career in finance. Having been in that field since 1982, he has served since 1996 as a senior manager and chief credit officer for an independent small business lender. Deanna was born and raised in California. She has spent her adult life working in the accounting field, and loves her church and church family. Alex and Deanna have been married since 1987 and have two lovely daughters, Alana and Olivia. They enjoy spending time with friends and family, living out a healthy lifestyle and playing golf with friends.

    Debbie was born and raised in Tujunga, California. In 2015 she retired as a Preschool Teacher/Administrator after 45 years in the field. Debbie and David, her husband of 39 years who died recently, loved sharing the Lord especially with Youth Groups. They also participated in The Lord's Kitchen, Food and Clothes Closet, and Family Promise. Debbie enjoys being with her family, friends and Godchildren, walking at the Beach, Descanso Gardens, and reading. She looks forward to being able to continue in the events that honor the Lord.

    Brenda, born and raised in California, has been a teacher since 1994. She joined St. Jude's after finishing college and became a member of St. David's in 2016 when the two congregations merged. She has been deeply blessed through various areas of involvement, including community ministries such as Family Promise. She is very grateful for her family, friends, and a church community that shares God’s heart of love.
